Coffee morning & raffle in aid of Ukraine
A fund-raising multicultural coffee morning and raffle was held on Thursday 7th April in the centre, with all proceeds donated to the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Learners and teachers generously donated food and raffle prizes. The event was a great success with €430 raised.
ESOL Information Session
On Wednesday 25th May 2022, an ESOL information session will be held in the centre from 12:00 to 14:00. Come along and discover how we can help you to learn or improve your English. All are welcome.
Minister Simon Harris visited the centre on Monday 29th November
On Monday Simon Harris TD, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, visited our Further Education and Training Centre in Celbridge. The Minister met with students and staff, as well as representatives from KWETB. He also met with Youthreach learners who travelled from their centre in Leixlip for the visit.
We're now connected directly to Leixlip by bus !
On 28th November, the new C-spine bus routes were launched. The L59 route connects Leixlip River Forest/Confey train station to Celbridge via Green Lane. A bus stop opposite Applegreen is no more than a 2-minute walk to our centre. Read more about the C-spine here.
Official Opening
The long-delayed (by Covid) official opening of the centre finally took place on Monday October 18th. The ceremony was performed by the Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann, Mr Seán Ó Fearghaíl TD. Take a look at the opening ceremony here.

New KWETB Further Education & Training campus in Celbridge
Kildare and Wicklow ETB are pleased to announce the opening of an exciting new Education and Training Campus for adults in Celbridge. This state-of-the-art educational facility will be home to Celbridge Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) and is open to adult learners interested in doing a further education course to upskill or re-skill.
2019 Awards night - Thursday 13th February 2020, Confey GAA club at 18:30.
Each year we have a night to celebrate the achievements of our learners and to present them with their award certificates. This year’s awards night was held on Thursday 13th February at 18:30 in Confey GAA Club . Certificates were presented by Ken Seery, Director of Further Education and Training in KWETB. After the formalities came the party !
