The Nursing Studies Course Major Award will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to apply for a Nursing Degree Programme through the CAO and UCAS in General Nursing, Maternity Nurse, Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, Children’s or Social Care in Ireland and UK or work as a Qualified Healthcare Assistant. 

The compulsory subjects are; Work Experience, Communications, Anatomy and Physiology, Human Growth and Development and Nursing Theory and Practice

The remaining subjects include; Human Growth and Development; Care of the Older Person; Care Support and Care Skills.
